Scholastic Arts Awards

Coral Academy of Science students who have won the First Prize are Gold Key winners. Their art works are installed in an impressive Scholastic Art Awards 2016 exhibition at the Holland Project Gallery.

 

Mathematics National Champion

Coral Academy of Science HS-AMC Math Competitions Class Student – Wutikorn Ratanapan has received National Champion Award at the MathCON National Finals which was held on 23 rd April at University of Illinois, Chicago. Five Coral Academy students have been qualified for the finals among 45,000 students Nationwide.

 

Ranked #4 in Nevada , #261 in U.S

The Washington Post America’s Most Challenging High Schools ranked Coral Academy 4th in Nevada and #261 in U.S. (out of 2341 high schools nationally).

100% College Acceptance

Coral Academy of Science’ entire graduating class has been accepted into colleges and universities.

$2.8 million scholarships

Class of 2016 students have been accepted at great colleges and universities nationwide. Coral Academy graduating seniors were offered more than $2.8 million in scholarships.

Welcome to Coral Academy of Science

Coral Academy is a tuition free public charter S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) school sponsored by the Washoe County School District.  Coral Academy provides a safe learning environment, supported by a diverse community, and a student body that is dedicated to a rigorous college preparatory curriculum.  Coral Academy was established in 2000 with just 67 students and a strong emphasis in science and math. Today Coral Academy has a student body of 1200+ with three campuses in Reno, Nevada.

Coral Academy of Science (CAS) views its primary mission as designing and implementing a unique and challenging educational environment for students, which will promote positive academic and social success during, and beyond their high school years.
Our goal is to graduate 100% of our students college and career ready. Getting the “High Achievement Designation” from Nevada Department of Education six times in eight years is an obvious indicator for CAS in terms of achieving its goals and objectives.
