Outstanding students selected for National Youth Science Camp

CARSON CITY — Nevada Department of Education announces the selection of two outstanding high school seniors to represent Nevada at the 2010 National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). The two students selected are Ana L. Manzano, a student at Coral Academy Charter High School in Reno, and Sean P. Sullivan, a student at Whittell High School in Stateline. These two high school seniors will receive a full scholarship to the NYSC, held at Bartow in the moutons of eastern West Virginia. They will travel to the NYSC on June 29 for a four-week experience that will include lectures and hands-on research projects presented by scientists from across the nation. Through contributions from the National Youth Science Foundation, delegates get a “once in a lifetime” experience.
